Shadow 3 Up Frame

Today I have a four cards to share, made with the new Darkroom Door Shadow 3 Up Frame, and will be using it a lot. It is perfect for cards and will look great on scrapbook layouts too. Stamp other images on top of the frames, use them for sentiments and journaling, use all three frames or just one. Lots of possibilities. I had so much fun with the stamp that I ended up making four different cards, but with similar techniques. Don't miss checking out the Darkroom Door blog, for more ideas from my team mates.

Shadow 3 Up Frame - Layers of ink
On the first card, I inked up the three frames with three colours Distress Ink (Squeezed Lemonade, Scattered Straw and Wild Honey). I misted the stamp several times with water before stamping on watercolour paper. When dry, flowers from Wildflowers Vol. 1 and Bold Blossoms were inked with Bundled Sage, Shabby Shutters and Peeled Paint, misted with water and stamped one on each panel. The small flowers from Wildflowers Vol. 2 were white embossed on top. I distressed the edges and mounted the panel on a white card with foam dots.

The second card was done in much the same way, using Spun Sugar, Tattered Rose and Victorian Velvet when stamping the panels. When dry, three flowers were white embossed on top, and stamped again with Victorian Velvet (first misted with water) to create a shadow effect.

The three shadow frames look great stamped on glossy cardstock, here I inked each panel with a different Archival Ink (Pale Ochre, Chrome Yellow, Saffron). The flowers and the sentiment were stamped with Archival Jet Black. A very quick card!
On the fourth card, the three frames were inked with three blue Archival Inks (French Ultramarine, Maganese Blue, Cobalt) and again stamped on glossy cardstock. The gondola from Venetian Vol. 1 was stamped on top with Jet Black, as well as sentiment words.

Thank you for looking and happy stamping!
