Card Patterns #168: The journey awakens the soul

Hi everyone!! A second post for today. This week Card Patterns is sponsored by Prickley Pear rubber stamps and the team got some great stamps to play with. Check out the site for the cards of all the DT members. Here’s this week’s fun sketch designed by Michelle:

And my card:

I used a stamp with a vintage add for sewing machines, so the card has a sewing theme. The Sewing Ad stamp was stamped twice on a torn tag which I found in my scrap basket. It had been aged with walnut ink. The great sentiment was stamped on a blue canvas scrap. For the background I used a piece of sewing pattern and inked it a bit with Frayed Burlap and Walnut Stain. I also added some cheese cloth underneath the tag and stitched everything in place with my sewing machine.

Thank you for visiting! I hope you can play along with us this week!

  1. Beautiful card AK, and I love how you've stitched the little coat hanger on.

  2. I love the way you put papers together - not only on this card but others I've seen.
